TOKENISM – Human-Created Beliefs and Life on Earth
In this writing
#Introduction
When we observe life on Earth objectively, we see millions of species that have lived, are living, and have gone extinct. Among all these life forms, only humans have created concepts such as God, heaven, hell, rebirth, and reincarnation.
#Belief Is a Human Phenomenon
Ants do not have a heaven. Dinosaurs did not fear hell. Elephants, birds, bacteria, and fungi live, reproduce, and die without belief in an afterlife.
These concepts exist only in the human mind.
#Forgetting Other Life Forms
Trees are alive. They grow, respond to their environment, and sustain ecosystems. Yet humans rarely ask whether trees go to heaven, hell, or experience reincarnation.
This highlights how belief systems are centered only around humans.
#Creation Before Belief
Humans first created these ideas and then began believing in them. Heaven and hell were created to explain fear, suffering, and death.
Religion was created to organize societies. God was created to represent forces humans could not yet understand.
#Tokenism’s Perspective
Tokenism does not disrespect belief, but questions its origin. It reminds humanity that belief systems are human-made interpretations, not universal laws followed by all life.
#Conclusion
Compared to the vast diversity of life and the cosmos, human belief systems are creations of the human mind. Tokenism encourages focusing on life, responsibility, and humanity here and now, rather than imagined destinations beyond life.
